The children they care for have life-threatening or life-limiting conditions, and this care must be given with sensitivity and compassion.
The children are cared for in "home away from home" respites, called Zoe's Place Baby Hospices.
Our team at Northumbrian Water collected selection boxes for the children, and their brothers and sisters, and decorated the Hospices with Christmas lights.

Colleagues from Essex & Suffolk Water cycled across Essex from Layer to Hanningfield or Langford to Hanningfield in their Just an hour time. More than £900 was raised for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, a charity making a real difference to some of our people.
Retired colleague Charlie Marden, who worked with us for over 30 years, has the rare condition that progressively damages parts of the nervous system. He was there cheering on participants. Charlie’s son Paul, a Technician Foreman here at NWG, said: "As a family, we’re so grateful for everyone who took part, raised money, and gave their time through Just an hour.
"We raised so much awareness for the MND Association, and every penny we made was given to the South Essex branch, which covers the area Charlie used to work in and still lives. We hope this allows the charity to continue to support other families like ours."
