Listening to customers, colleagues, partners, suppliers, regulators and communities helps us make better decisions.
We use engagement, research, independent challenge and partnership working to understand expectations and shape our plans.
Local Action is one way we bring this approach to life, giving customers, local stakeholders and community partners the opportunity to ask questions, understand our plans and raise local issues directly with our teams.
So far, the programme has engaged 1,392 attendees across our operating areas. Feedback from these conversations helps inform how we respond to local priorities and strengthens the link between engagement, decision-making and delivery.
Taking conversations into communities
Through Local Action, we bring conversations into the heart of the communities we serve. These face-to-face events give customers, local stakeholders and community partners the opportunity to ask questions, understand our plans and raise local issues directly with our teams.
Since launch, Local Action has grown from a campaign into a more established model for community engagement. Events have been held across our operating areas, helping us explain our Environment Strategy, listen to concerns and build stronger local relationships.
Feedback shows the events are helping people feel better informed, with attendees’ understanding of our Environment Strategy increasing from 5.1 to 8 out of 10.
