Northumbrian Water has completed a major £2.2 million investment at Fenham Service Reservoir in Newcastle, helping to improve the safety, capacity and resilience of the Tyneside water network.

The work, which has now been successfully completed, forms part of the company's ongoing commitment to maintaining reliable water supplies for customers and investing in vital infrastructure across the region.

The project has delivered a range of improvements designed to enhance the reservoir's operational performance, strengthen its resilience, and support a dependable water supply for local homes and businesses in the local area.

Colin Short, Project Manager for Northumbrian Water, said: "We're delighted to have completed this important investment at Fenham Service Reservoir. These improvements will help ensure the site continues to operate safely and effectively, while providing a reliable water supply for the local community for many years to come.

"We would like to thank residents and businesses for their patience, understanding and support throughout the project. We appreciate that large infrastructure schemes can cause disruption at times, and we're grateful for the cooperation we've received while carrying out these essential works."
