Richard Somerville (General Counsel and Company Secretary) joined NWG in October 2021 and is Secretary of all Board Committees. Prior to this, Mr Somerville was General Counsel and Group Company Secretary at Electricity North West Limited, having joined there in 2010.
Mr Somerville is a solicitor and began his career in private practice, focussing on Corporate M&A work. He is vice-chair of the Law Society In-house Division Committee and is a member of the Street Works UK management board. Mr Somerville holds a law degree and is currently undertaking an MBA at Cranfield School of Management.
