Essex & Suffolk Water has been recognised at one of the UK’s most prestigious construction awards.

The company’s employee wellbeing programme ‘Living Well’, was ‘Highly Commended’ in the Constructing Excellence Awards, held in London last week.

‘Living Well’, which was put forward nationally after winning the Health, Safety and Wellbeing category at the local Constructing Excellence Awards last year, provides financial support, a 24/7 digital GP, parents and carers support network and resilience building workshops, among many other things.

The ‘accessible anywhere, on any device’ site was created for all the company’s people during Covid with health, safety, and wellness at the heart of it.

Elouise Leonard-Cross Head of People Strategy & Experience at Essex & Suffolk Water said: "This recognition demonstrates the unique offer and impact we created through Living Well, we are committed to understanding how we can create a healthy workplace and support the needs of our diverse colleagues”

"We know that these last few years have been particularly tough on everyone in one way or another, and social distancing has had a great impact to our mental health - and this has had an impact upon the way we all work, whether that's out in the field, in an office, or from home. Keeping our people connected digitally throughout this time - wherever they carry out their work - has been imperative in ensuring great health and wellbeing in the business."

These nationally recognised awards really are testament to the great work that the water company is doing across Essex, Suffolk and London Boroughs.
