The Park, centred around Northumbrian Water′s Derwent Reservoir, will play host to fun and educational sessions every Wednesday, from July 24 to August 28, as well as on Sunday, August 11.
The activities will be run by a range of partner organisations and include getting up close and personal with alpacas, craft sessions and a classic vehicle show.

Alongside all of this, County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service, as well as Durham Police′s Dog Section, will be on hand on each of the Wednesdays, while Northumbria Police Marine Unit will be there on July 24 and 31, as well as August 7.
Graham Perry, Northumbrian Water′s Leisure Strategy and Product Development Manager, said: "Derwent Waterside Park is a fantastic day out at any time of the year with something for everyone, including an adventure playground, a self-serve café serving hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, snacks and sweet treats, scenic lakeside walks, and a dedicated area where our four legged friends can be let off their leads.
"We are excited to bring a range of new activities to Derwent Waterside Park and are looking forward to welcoming guests over the summer, many of whom will be enjoying all of this for the first time.
"There really is something for everyone across these days, from crafts to Jurassic fun, to specialist emergency services teams."
