Leading fitness and body confidence influencer, Healthier Leila, will be taking on this year′s gruelling Hanningfield Triathlon, and is encouraging people who want to challenge themselves and test their endurance to do the same.

Leila is passionate about promoting fitness and body confidence, posting inspiring updates on her Instagram account - which has over 10,300 followers. She is also the co-founder of Fierce & Fearless, a community that aims to empower and inspire women through event and meet ups. Leila, who is based in Essex, is you average ‘girl next door′ who works full time whilst aiming to inspire and empower women through her social media channels.

This year she is embarking on a different fitness challenge each month, and on Saturday 18 May she will be taking part in the Hanningfield Triathlon, which is organised by Essex & Suffolk Water in support of the charity WaterAid.This is a huge challenge for Leila who isn′t an athlete but simply someone who enjoys fitness. She has always wanted to take part in a triathlon and wants to encourage more women to take part and challenge themselves.

Leila will be talking about the Triathlon on her social media accounts during World Water Day, which takes place on Friday 22 March. World Water Day of the millions of people who still live without clean water or sanitation, something WaterAid is working hard to address.

The Triathlon involves swimming, cycling and running sections, all taking place in the beautiful surroundings of Hanningfield Reservoir. Participants can choose between sprint or standard distance, or team up with friends or family to form a relay team and compete together.

The cycling and running routes take place in the glorious countryside around the Essex Wildlife Trust visitor centre at Hanningfield and Essex & Suffolk Water's Cafe on the Water. The swim is a challenging open water course in the actual reservoir - the only time of the year this is allowed due to safety considerations.

Leila said: "I′m really excited to be taking part in this year′s Hanningfield Triathlon. This year I′m taking on 12 challenges in 12 months to push me out of my comfort zone, and hopefully inspire others to do the same.I′m really proud to support WaterAid and take part in this triathlon for so many reasons. Being a local event for such a worthy cause makes it even more special for me.

WaterAid and Essex and Suffolk Water do so much to improve people′s lives and provide clean water all over the world which we take for granted daily."

Eliane Algaard, Water Director for Essex & Suffolk Water said: "It′s brilliant to have Leila taking part in this year′s Triathlon, and we look forward to seeing her at Hanningfield in May. There is still time to register for the event, so if want to test yourself and raise money for WaterAid then why not sign up today?"
