HRH Princess Anne, and our Water Director, Keith Haslett, visited Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve on Tuesday (11th MAY) to celebrate the Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s 60th anniversary.
As part of our Branch Out fund and our Habitat Creation Fund, we have donated £135k to transform the site in order to benefit the water, wildlife and communities in the area.
The fund, which has been running since October 2018, has helped to boost populations and extend the range of some wetland species in the area.
It also offered flood protection benefits and created new wetlands on the reserve.
