The guests may be masked, but the fun won′t be, at this year′s Northumbrian WaterAid Ball.
The ball, which raises vital funds for Northumbrian Water′s charity partner, WaterAid, will help to deliver clean water and sanitation to people in Madagascar.
The North East water firm has chosen a Masquerade theme for its annual fundraiser, which takes place on Friday June 8, 2018 at Newcastle Marriott Gosforth Park Hotel from 7.00pm.
Back in 2015, Northumbrian Water pledged to raise £1 million by 2020 for WaterAid projects in the African country, transforming some 7,000 lives in the process.
Businesses across the region that take a table at the Masquerade Ball, will enjoy a champagne reception and three-course dinner, followed by a night of top-class entertainment. A table of ten costs £995, with all proceeds going to WaterAid.
Andrew Blakemore, Chairman of the Northumbrian WaterAid committee, said: "Our Ball is one of the highlights in the Northumbrian WaterAid events calendar and this year′s masquerade theme promises to be a black tie dinner with a difference!
"It offers a fun way for us to raise money to help WaterAid carry out its amazing work across the globe, where currently, one in three of the world′s population don′t have a decent toilet of their own, and one in nine don′t have clean water close to home.
"We′re unmasking these shocking statistics and helping others to understand the importance of WaterAid′s work delivering clean, sustainable water supplies to some of the hardest to reach places on the planet."
