About Northumbrian Water Group
Northumbrian Water Group Limited (NWGL) is a company registered in England and Wales with company number 04760441 and whose registered office is at Northumbria House, Abbey Road, Pity Me, Durham, DH1 5FJ.
NWGL is the UK holding company for a number of regulated, non-regulated and dormant companies. All of these companies, together with NWGL, comprise the ‘Northumbrian Water Group’ or 'NWG'.
The trading companies within the Northumbrian Water Group work in three related areas:
- water and waste water services
- water and waste water contracts
- the provision of technical and consultancy services focussing on water and environmental issues.
The principal regulated company in the Northumbrian Water Group is Northumbrian Water Limited (NWL), which is a directly wholly-owned subsidiary of NWGL, and operates in the north east of England as ‘Northumbrian Water’ and in the south east of England as
NWGL’s other directly wholly-owned subsidiary is NWG Commercial Solutions Limited, which acts as a holding company for certain non-regulated trading companies in the Northumbrian Water Group.
In addition to its subsidiary companies, NWGL holds a number of interests in joint venture companies with external parties. These companies include Wave Ltd, which is a joint venture with Anglian Venture Holdings Limited, and which, through its wholly-owned trading subsidiary, Anglian Water Business (National) Limited, provides retail water and wastewater services to non-household customers in England and Scotland.
