Durham born Neil Robson, who works as a Benefits Contracts Manager for Northumbrian Water, secured top spot at the 2019 Rewards 300 awards last night.
Northumbrian Water Group which provides water and waste services to 2.7 million customers in the North East, and water services to 1.8 million customers in Essex and Suffolk, employ more than 3,000 people across their operating areas – who Neil and the HR team help to look after.
The prestigious event, organised by The Reward Strategy, took place at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel in London and saw some of the country’s biggest employers come together to celebrate individuals, who have gone above and beyond in their professional HR roles.
A 43 year old dad of six, Neil, said: “I am delighted to have won the Employee Benefits Expert category and although it’s an individual award – this achievement would not be possible without the support of the amazing people I get the opportunity to work with each day.”
The Rewards 300 Awards measure individuals across a range of categories, including Payroll Leaders; Reward Industry Luminaries; Leaders within Knowledge and Professional services; Pension Professionals, HR Leaders and Employment Lawyers.
Northumbrian Water Group’s HR Director, Kay Penney, said: “We are committed to ensuring Northumbrian Water Group continues to be a great place to work.
“We’re delighted to receive this award, following on from our recognition earlier this year as one of the UK’s best big companies to work for in The Times Best Companies survey.”
