NWG was first incorporated on 12 May 2003. On 23 May 2003 it purchased Atlantic Water Limited including Northumbrian Services Limited (previously named Ondeo Services UK plc) and its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associates (together the "NSL Group") which includes: Northumbrian Water Limited, Analytical & Environmental Services Limited, Agrer SA, Lyonnaise des Eaux (Gibraltar) Limited, Caledonian Environmental Services plc, Ayr Environmental Services Limited and Vehicle Lease and Services Limited.
