Code of conduct

The mission of Northumbrian Water Group plc is to be the national leader in the provision of sustainable water, and waste water services through our competitive position, to deliver stakeholder value and grow our business.

We know that we can only achieve our mission by working from an ethical base. Our overriding principle, in conducting our business, is to act ethically, lawfully and with integrity, honesty and fairness in all our key relationships.

We provide essential services in the areas in which we work and we accept the high levels of responsibility which this carries. We also have responsibilities to our people, whose potential we must help fulfil so that they can contribute fully to our business, and to those who provide us with capital.

In order to help us meet these wide-ranging responsibilities, we have adopted the attached Code of conduct. We will strive to adhere to the code in all our activities and will carefully monitor how well we do so. We will review the code regularly.
